Which aspects of the sales process are handled by Blue Seas?

Blue Seas handles everything – marketing input, lead processing, materials distribution, pre-qualification, ongoing follow-up, Discovery Day, closing meetings, and ongoing reporting on progress.

How does Blue Seas charge?

Blue Seas takes a monthly service fee to offset the costs of handling leads and a commission for each franchisee/licensee that is sold.

How are the monthly service fees determined?

Monthly service fees are based on the anticipated lead flow. For most clients, these fees will range between SGD $3,000 and SGD $8,000 per month.

What is a typical commission?

Commissions will vary based on a variety of factors, including the franchisor’s/licensor’s commitment to marketing, the amount of the initial fee, and the availability of financing. Typical commissions will range between 15%-25%.

Is there a required marketing commitment?

Depends, as sometimes it is advantageous to advertise with digital marketing, or similar, solutions yet often it is not required. Thus, not mandatory and to be discussed.

Can we work with Blue Seas on a non-exclusive basis?

Depends. Blue Seas generally takes over all sales activities on behalf of its clients. In these instances, it works with clients on an exclusive basis to avoid any sales channel conflicts. However, we can discuss.

We generate a lot of leads through brokers – how does that work into the Blue Seas program?

Generally, our clients can minimize or eliminate brokers; however, for those who choose to do so, brokers can be treated as another form of lead generation.

Does Blue Seas provide any reporting to Management?

Yes. Management will receive reports on key sales variables, including lead counts, sources, activity, and pipeline updates.

Who owns the leads?

The client owns all the leads generated based on their advertising. Upon termination, we will provide you with all your leads in an electronic format used by most contact management software.

What guarantees are there?

There are no guarantees, but we do not take on clients unless we believe we can sell their concept/brand.

How do I know if my organization will qualify?

Blue Seas has developed a set of criteria to determine if a franchisor/licensor qualifies for the Blue Seas FSO/LSO program. If you meet the preliminary qualifications, we will conduct an onsite/virtual interview as a final step in determining if the relationship will be mutually beneficial.
